The ZooED program has rolled out a brand new beta website for all things ZooED-related! Prospective teachers can browse information regarding the program, including curriculum descriptions, registration for upcoming trainings, and FAQs. Returning teachers can access new and updated resources via our teacher portal!
What is ZooED?
Kansas City Zoo’s ZooED program fosters the next generation of conservation-minded citizens through cross-curricular, standards-based learning experiences. All curricula and associated learning experiences are aligned with the Missouri Learning Standards, Next Generation Science Standards, and Common Core Standards. Three ZooED programs currently exist, with an early learning curriculum program in the works for future use.
Who can use ZooED?
ZooED is free and accessible for all students in the Zoological Tax District. This includes public, private, parochial, charter, homeschool, and other educational organizations in Jackson or Clay counties. At this time, ZooED curriculum is not available to groups outside the Zoological District.
