Yellow-Backed Duiker

Kansas City Zoo Animal

The yellow-backed duiker (pronounced Dye-KER) is the largest of all duikers. The name is derived from the Dutch Afrikaans word for diver as these group of antelope have the habit of diving for dense cover when threatened. You can find ours near the gorillas in Africa.
