Due to the Great Inflatable Race in Swope Park, the Meyer entrance to the Zoo will be closed on Saturday April 20. Please use the 63rd Street or Elmwood entrance.
The gorilla is the largest living ape and lowland gorillas can be found wild in Cameroon, Congo, Gabon, Angola and Equatorial Guinea. Critically endangered, the lowland gorilla and its cousins the mountain gorilla and Cross-River gorilla are in need of protection from poachers and human disease. You can find our family group of gorillas located across the swinging bridge in Africa.
