About

The largest of the kangaroo species the red kangaroo is the symbol of Australia. Native to the high desert of the outback, these marsupials are true survivors. Capable of leaping nearly 30 feet and traveling at 40 miles per hour the red kangaroo is built to evade predators. You can find our free roaming mob of red kangaroos in the Australia section of the Zoo.
