Featuring a hungry giraffe that is literally eating the billboard, Southwest Trafficway could be called Southwest Girafficway for the month of April. The Zoo is inviting people to join in the fun by taking a “giraffie” in front of the billboard! Simply share the “giraffie” and tag the Zoo in your social media post and you will be entered in a contest to win a behind-the-scenes experience with our giraffes.
“You giraffe to be kidding me” you say? Nope. We are serious. One lucky “giraffie” participant will win the opportunity to come to the Zoo and tour our giraffe behind-the-scenes bedrooms which will include meeting our herd and possibly offering them some tasty treats right from your hands. All you have to do is visit the Kansas City Zoo giraffe billboard located at 39th Street and Southwest Trafficway, take a one-of-a-kind selfie or as we like to call it, a “giraffie,” and share that picture via social media tagging the Zoo. Bonus points for using the hashtag #giraffie. That’s it! That’s all you have to do to win a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to get within tongue’s reach of these majestic creatures.
The contest runs April 5 through April 30 and then a winner will be selected. Meet us giraffe way and help spread the word!
