Join us for When Science Attacks, the Kansas City Zoo’s hands-on homeschool class. Explore the world of science through animals and nature. Join us twice a month for hands-on science for Kindergarten through 8th grade, including fun experiments, demos, videos, and more. You might tour the Zoo, get a visit from one of our animal ambassadors, or experience other unique resources the Kansas City Zoo has to offer. We will explore topics in chemistry, biology, physics and so much more!
We’ll explore scientific concepts with projects and inquiry, as each student records their findings in their own provided scientific journal.
We explore topics in Physical Sciences, Earth & Space Sciences, and Life Sciences, and explore how they affect our daily lives and the lives of our animals.
