Learn about scientists, who have a passion for animals, and the variety of animal careers they can pursue.

The Zoo’s mission is to promote understanding, appreciation, and conservation of the natural world. Investigate ways the Zoo helps endangered species both locally and globally.

The Zoo is home to more than 1,000 animals! Hear some of their unique stories that make them special.
|October 17th or 18th||Happy, Healthy, Animals
Zoo animals need to be happy and healthy like their wild counterparts. Discover how we give our animals the best possible care.
|October 31st or November 1st||Careful Care
From roaches to rhinos, Zoo veterinarians keep our animals healthy. Explore the ways that our veterinarians take care of our animals.
|November 14th or 15th||Fun & Games Part 1
Playtime at the Zoo! Our animals love playing games. Learn how and why we use different types of enrichment to entertain our animals.
|November 28th or 29th||Fun & Games Part 2
Continue exploring ways we help our animals have fun and stay healthy. Students will create enrichment to give to Zoo animals!
