Daisies

"3 Cheers for Animals" - If you love animals and nature, then this is the workshop for you. This 2 hour workshop explores animal basic needs, feeding and communication. Each scout will receive a journal containing activity pages that will help them begin (but not complete) their 3 Cheers for Animal Journey. (Daisies Overnight available as a private overnight only.)

Brownies

"Wetland Wonders" - What better place to learn about wetlands than the Zoo. This 2 hour workshop will help scouts begin (but not complete) their Wonders of Water Journey. They will discover the water cycle and learn the importance of wetlands in the ecosystem. And don't forget the animals that live there! This workshop also has an overnight option.

Juniors

"Eco Explorers" - In this 2 hour workshop, scouts will go on a learning safari as they explore the rainforest while learning about the animals and plants that live there. Scouts will also make an animal home to help them begin (but not complete) the requirements for their Animal Habitats badge. This workshop also has an overnight option.

 

Cub Scout Workshops/Overnight

Tigers

Tigers will have a grrrrreat time at the zoo.  This 2 hour workshop concentrates on conservation and the basic characteristics of animals. It answers questions about animal habitats, eating habits, ecosystems and the importance of recycling. This workshop also has an overnight option.

Cubs (Wolves/Bears)

What was the largest bird to ever live? What kinds of parrots can you find in the United States? Discover the answers to these questions and much more in this 2 hour workshop. This workshop also has an overnight option.

Webelos

Create your own terrarium, and learn the difference between being poisonous and being venomous. This 2 hour workshop focuses on the balance of ecosystems and the identification of organisms to avoid (venom vs. poison) in the area. This workshop also has an overnight option.
