VolunTeens

The Kansas City Zoo is a wonderful place for teens to experience animals and connect with nature and their community in a meaningful way. We offer 2 (age appropriate) year-long programs that are designed to be fun and educational while empowering teens to take a greater role in their community as well as conservation efforts. VolunTeen Qualifications

We are looking for select individuals who are:

·        Self motivated, friendly and outgoing

·        Likes being outdoors in ALL kinds of weather

·        Interested in and cares about people, animals and nature

·        May be considering a course of study in animals/biology, education or not for-profit business

VolunTeen Requirements

Kansas City Zoo VolunTeens must:

If Selected

·        Be able to pass a background check

·        Be able to pay a $30 fee

·        Be able to attend a MANDATORY orientation/training session (accompanied by at least 1 parent/guardian)

·        Be able to commit to some weekends and 1 week day each week in the summer
