African Sky Safari $4 per round trip; $2 per one way (ages 2 and under are free with a paying adult) Ride high above the African Plains on the NEW African Sky Safari, now open. Your toes will dangle just above cheetahs, lions, giraffes and rhinos, and you will land near one of the best chimpanzee exhibits in the world. The journey crosses approximately 1,500 feet at 35 feet above ground and lasts about 7 minutes. Please note operation of the African Sky Safari is weather dependent.
African Sky Safari Guidelines: - Children under 42" tall must ride with an adult - All riders must be able to sit up without assistance - Flip flops must be carried; all items must be secured including food, drink, cameras and sunglasses (dropped items will not be immediately retrieved and will not be returned in the same condition; our animals will probably use them as enrichment items) - Maximum 3 people and 300 pounds per chair - Only umbrella strollers will be transported on the African Sky Safari; you may check your stroller at the employee-monitored stroller check at the ticket booths
Endangered Species Carousel $2 per ride (ages 2 and under are free with a paying adult) Take a spin on the carousel, open daily weather permitting. Choose your favorite animal and enjoy.
Tram $1.50 round trip (ages 2 and under are free) The tram runs daily weather permitting. It runs from the train/tram station near the front entrance, past elephants, to the African Market and back. You can see flamingos and elephants from the tram.
The train and tram do have storage for strollers; your children may sit next to you and your valuables can be stored next to you as well.
Train $2.50 round trip (ages 2 and under are free) The train runs daily from 9:30 a.m. through end of day, weather permitting. The train circles the central portion of the Zoo with stops at 2 stations: Front Entry and Australia. On the train ride you can see kangaroos and camels.
BEST VALUE! Gold Value Rides Pass $5 per person - a$1 savings (ages 2 and under are free) On the day of your visit, purchase an unlimited rides combo pass and ride as many times as you wish on the train, tram and carousel. Platinum Value Rides Pass $9 per person - a $3 savings Rides on the train, tram, carousel, African Sky Safari and boat during the day of your visit. (Please note when the boat is not operating, the platinum value rides pass will be discounted $1.)
Boat $2 per person The boat ride is open weekends in April, May, September and October; daily Memorial Day weekend - Labor Day, weather permitting. The boat travels across the lake in the Zoo's African Plains area. You will see hoofstock, including zebra, giraffe and much more.
Camel $5 per rider; get your photograph for only an additional $5 Jump on a camel and enjoy a ride around the corral. Available weekends through May 5 and daily beginning May 11 through Labor Day. Weekends only in September and October. Weather permitting. Children under 42" tall must be accompanited by an adult.
