Take a walk on the wild side at the Kansas City Zoo as we launch our Wild Walking Club exclusively for senior FOTZ members. Every Wednesday at 9 a.m., senior FOTZ members can start their day with an early walk through the Zoo before it opens to the public.

What is the Wild Walking Club? This is a perk for FOTZ seniors (ages 55 and older). The group will meet on a weekly basis to go walking through the Zoo for exercise, enjoyment and meeting new friends.
When does the Club meet and for how long? The Wild Walking Club will meet at 9 a.m. every Wednesday at the Zoo’s front entrance. Club members are welcome to stay at the Zoo for the entire day. Depending on the week, special guest speakers, activities and other exciting happenings may occur.
Where will the Club meet? Walking club members will meet at the front entrance of the Zoo to show their FOTZ member ID and to have their club card marked before beginning their walk for the day.
Who can join and is there a fee? The Wild Walking Club is open to any FOTZ senior (ages 55 and older). There is no additional fee for joining.
Do you have to pre-register for the Club or can you just arrive at an event? The Zoo’s Event/Marketing Department is accepting reservations and pre-registrations. Please call, 816-513-5800. There is no deadline for registering. Or you may just show up any Wednesday at 9 a.m. to join.
Can I bring a friend? FOTZ memberships are valid for two adults as long as one is the name on the card. So, yes, you may bring a friend to walk with you – encourage them to join as well for year long benefits of being a FOTZ member.
If guests arrive at the Zoo and are not FOTZ members yet, will there be a way for them to sign up for a membership that day to be able to participate? Any Zoo guest who would like to sign up to be a FOTZ member is encouraged to do so. Guests may sign up on-line or at the front gate when they arrive at the Zoo. Once registered as a FOTZ member, all parents with pre-kindergarten age children are welcome to participate in the Club.
