Join our new Toddling Troops Walking Club exclusively for FOTZ members. FOTZ parents with pre-kindergarten age children are invited Thursday of every week at 9 a.m. (before the Zoo opens) to walk the animal trails.

What is the Toddling Troops Walking Club? This is a new perk for FOTZ parents who have pre-kindergarten age children. The group will meet at the Zoo every Thursday for exercise, enjoyment and meeting new friends.
When does the Club meet and for how long? The Toddling Troops Walking Club will meet at 9 a.m. every Thursday at the Zoo’s front entrance. Club members are welcome to stay at the Zoo the entire day. Depending on the week, special guest speakers, activities and other exciting happenings may occur – watch the Zoo’s Web site kansascityzoo.org for details.
Where will the Club meet? Walking club members will meet at the front entrance of the Zoo to show their FOTZ member ID and to have their club card marked before beginning their walk for the day.
Who can join and is there a fee? The Toddling Troops Walking Club is open to any FOTZ adult with pre-kindergarten age children. There is no additional fee for joining.
Do you have to pre-register for the Club or can you just arrive at an event? The Zoo’s Event/Marketing Department is accepting reservations and pre-registrations. Please call, 816-513-5807. There is no deadline for registering. Or you may just show up at 9a.m. any Thursday to join.
Can I bring a friend? FOTZ memberships are valid for two adults as long as one is the name on the card. So, yes, you may bring a friend to walk with you – encourage them to join as well for year long benefits of being a FOTZ member.
If guests arrive at the Zoo and are not FOTZ members yet, will there be a way for them to sign up for a membership that day to be able to participate? Any Zoo guest who would like to sign up to be a FOTZ member is encouraged to do so. Guests may sign up on-line or at the front gate when they arrive at the Zoo. Once registered as a FOTZ member, all parents with pre-kindergarten age children are welcome to participate in the Club.
