All residents of Jackson and Clay Counties receive discounted Friends of the Zoo (FOTZ) memberships which include discounts on special events, educational programs, camps and classes. FOTZ membership  for residents of Jackson and Clay Counties are amazing affordable friendly fun. The membership discount benefit starts today!

Residents of Jackson and Clay Counties, with proof of residency receive discounted daily admission to the Zoo.  These prices are $5 for adults, $4.50 for seniors and $4 for children ages 3-11. 

The Zoo will be free for Jackson and Clay County residents four days during each calendar year. In 2013, there is one more free day on Monday, December 30, 9:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.  In 2014, Zoological District Free Days are on Tuesday, March 18, June 24, July 15 and August 5.

Jackson and Clay County residents also have a dedicated “Zoomobile,” one per county, which will bring zoological experiences into the schools, libraries and community centers and other public events in Jackson and Clay Counties. Reservations can be made at least 4 weeks ahead of time for your Zoomobile experience.  One session per year is free; added bookings will be at our regular fees. 816.595.1765 or education@fotzkc.org.

Each classroom in Jackson and Clay County will receive free admission when making an advanced reservation to visit the Kansas City Zoo. 816.595.1765 or education@fotzkc.org.

Each school district in Jackson and Clay Counties will receive fully sponsored field trips, including bus transportation stipends, for 2nd, 4th and secondary grades.  In addition, those grades will receive free ZooEd programming starting with 2nd grade, both at the Zoo and in their classrooms. Until 4th and secondary grade program curriculum is developed, they may request one of any of our existing grade-level zoomobile programs to come out to their school.  816.595.1765 or education@fotzkc.org.
